About Richard

I’ve lived in Cabot, Vermont all of my 60+ years and enjoy working the land, making use of nature's gifts to mankind.

I have owned and operated Hillcrest Nursery for the past 10 years and have gained a lot of respect for plants and trees.

I get a lot of pleasure from working in my wood lot cleaning up fallen trees and harvesting the Ash wood for building my line of Adirondack furniture.

During the very snowy winter months in Vermont, I get to work in the woodworking shop turning the stack of carefully harvested lumber into chairs, table, and more.
